"So glad we found Mackenzie! We decided very last minute to go with a birth Doula and booked Mackenzie at 38 weeks. Definitely the right decision! She made time to meet with us to discuss our goals and priorities right away. She was my biggest advocate on the day of so my husband and I could focus on the labour and birth without having to worry about having our preferences ignored at the hospital. Mackenzie is 100% the reason I was able to stick with my goal of having an unmedicated vaginal birth, before she arrived I was ready to go to the hospital and get the baby cut out of me to get it over with! She came to the house when the contractions became unmanageable and helped us with positioning and massage techniques until we found something that worked so I was no longer screaming through them. At the hospital, she never left my side. She offered gentle encouragement, took the most meaningful and intimate photos, and reminded me to take sips of water throughout. Mackenzie has such a big heart, gentle caring manner, she is also very funny, energetic, a fountain of knowledge and an amazing resource for all things baby and pregnancy both leading up to the birth and afterwards. I would not hesitate at all to recommend her services to anyone who is looking for a Doula!"
